Philly’s Epic July 4th Festivities Start Tomorrow

Tomorrow is the kickoff of Philly’s epic, 1o-day celebration of our nation’s independence. There are activities for every interest and age group, including music, art, theater, movies, science, food, parades and fireworks. I’m particularly jazzed that ?uestlove of the Roots finally convinced the mayor’s office to let him “curate” the music for the “Party on the Parkway” jawn on July 4th itself (and at venues across the city the night before). As ?uesto astutely analogizes, Philly should be to Independence Day as Times Square is to New Year’s Eve.
