YLD Going to the Phils Game for Family Night

June 22, 2010

2010 Young Lawyers Division Family Night at the Phillies

Each year, the Philadelphia Bar Association Young Lawyers Division plans an event geared for the young lawyer’s entire family.  Prior outings have been at Sesame Place, Philadelphia Zoo and the Adventure Aquarium.

This year’s event offers something for young lawyers with or without families alike: a Phillies game.  The Family Night will take place on July 29, 2010 at Citizen’s Bank Park as the Phillies take on the Arizona Diamondbacks.  Purchasing an event ticket entitles you to a two hour pre-game tailgate (including beer, wine and food) at McFadden’s at the Ballpark from 5-7:00 p.m. and a ticket to the game, beginning at 7:05 p.m., in the YLD section.  All kidding aside about how certain belligerent and foolish individuals have made spectacles out of themselves at Phillies games this year, the event should be fun for the whole family.  Maybe the Phils will even score more than three runs.

Tickets for the event are at an absolute bargain of $35 for adults and $25 for kids under 12 years old (who also get a special gift) and can be purchased here but only through the absolute deadline date of Tuesday, June 29, 2010.  After that date, all unpurchased tickets go back to the Phillies, so don’t wait.

Lawyers may be needed for fans outside of the ballpark that night because that’s the day that Arizona asserts their right not to be invaded.I’m expecting a large contingent of the area’s illegal aliens to be outside of the park. This could be the chance that Philly fans have been waiting for to improve their image.

    July 29th?
Count me in! Perhaps I’ll take my mother, her birthday is that day…

But she’s not a baseball fan… on second thought, I’ll go myself. Haha
