In Case You Missed It — Associate Pay…Again
The National Law Journal published About that Huge Salary: It’s a Long Shot, a rare, realistic article about struggling to find your first legal job, starting associate pay and law school debt. I’m sharing this article for those who are interested in going to law school…especially “for the money.” Note that the average law school debt is about $83,000 for private schools and $54,500 for public schools while the average starting salary may be somewhere between $30,000 to $45,000 for those who are not employed by large firms.
In other news, Jocelyn and I are speaking on a panel about legal blogs at the Philadelphia Bar Association on Thursday with David Hoffman, an Assistant Professor at Temple University, Charles Meyer of Fox Rothschild and Alex Urevick-Ackelsberg of Young Philly Politics.
