Personal Finance for Lawyers: Credit Management, Part One
Lawyers as a group are not fabled for their numbers-savvy. Indeed, for many, one of the great appeals of law school was that it does not require any quantitative skills. Unfortunately, that shortcoming can have significant consequences when it comes to managing personal finances. For that reason, we are going to begin featuring tips on personal finance, starting with credit.
Not only can poor credit management negatively impact your personal life, it can hurt your career. Jeremy Simon of creditcards.com has agreed to answer questions by PhiLAWdelphia readers about all aspects of credit as they affect lawyers, especially young lawyers. Read some of his writing on credit basics and some of his FAQs then submit questions in the comments or by e-mail, through me.
